I Have To Fade Myself.

Every once in a while in life you have to look yourself in the mirror and do the exact opposite of what you want to do. For example, today I woke up and thought, "I really do not want to go into work today." I have that thought more often than not but that's neither here not there. What did I do anyway? I got my ass up and went to work. Bills gotta be paid.

Back when I was in high school, my first car ever was a old Toyota Four Runner that leaked oil every damn day. Looked exactly like this, just always dirtier.

She was in the shop more often than she wasn't. Anyway, there was this one day in high school where my Four Runner was in the shop (shocking) and my dad didn't need to go into work for the day so to my surprise, he let me borrow his truck to take to school. His parting words to me were and I quote "just don't crash it." You can guess what happened next. I made it about 10 minutes before I crashed it. I rear ended this kid in the school parking lot first thing in the morning. Luckily the guy I hit had no damage but my dad's front bumper had popped out on impact. What did my dumbass do instead of tell my dad? I tried to fix it myself by buying gorilla glue. There I was in the parking lot of Home Depot trying to stick the bumper back into place with gorilla glue I just bought. Just an all out catastrophe. That of course only lead to further problems till finally, after I exhausted every effort instead of telling my dad, eventually I came clean later that day, told my dad, and his truck ended up at a collision center for a week. My ass ended up grounded for the week. Fair trade I'd say. What should I have done? Just told my dad of course. But I was a stupid high schooler who thought he could fix a broken off bumper with a little gorilla glue. Not my brightest moment to be fair.

So tonight, I will do what I don't want to do. I will fade myself. I want to take the Bills. But I am brighter than I was when I tried to fix a car crash with gorilla glue.
